Anyway, hkssr20det, are those the WE 1911's you were talking about?

I need to start sleeping at night... I just took over 100 pictures of my 1911 out of sheer boredom, and of course improving my rusty photography skills that haven't been used enough in the last three years since I stopped going to car shows.

Anyways, here's some new pictures of the same old WE, but if all goes well next time I post there will be more goddies on her. Oh, and don't worrie, I'm not posting all 100.

I figured since everyone else has such nice pictures, I better step it up a bit... For having not slept yet and taking pictures from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. I think I did pretty good.

Some matching controls would be a nice touch, looks good though.

Thanks guys by the way, and don't worry I took a long nap shortly after I posted that.

Finally got it sanded a little better and wrapped the stock grips in fabric until I get my Pachmayr American Legends.

And my final secret to keeping it polishe... I should thank my girlfriend for doing her nails and giving me the idea. But I won't thank my local hardware store for not having anything over 600 grit sandpaper and leaving me screwed until I had this revelation.

The Official 1911 Picture Thread - Page 2 IMG_4995
One of those nail polishing things... it actually works great. It's essentially like four different high grit sandpapers on a nice foam block. Girly, sure. Effective, strikingly yes.

I'm pretty happy with the way it looks now, the pictures never seem to show off it's shine that well.

Does anyone know if I could cannibalize this cheap TM AMT Hardballer Longslide GBB for it's trigger and hammer? It's pretty much exactly what I need as far as the looks (since I'm making the 5" barreled Silverballer from the Hitman games which is essentially an AMT Hardballer) for my project.

Fitting the SD slide tonight, but no more pictures until the new trigger arrives next week. Shoots better than I remember, but only gets about 12 shots per fill in this weather.

Looks sweet.

Have you noticed any increase in accuracy from the comp set (other than hiding a 7" .01 that is)?

Yes and no. It does shoot more accurately at range, and certainly does when shooting more quickly, but even with the reduced recoil the gun won't shoot super groupings for me. I am going to swap the Nine Ball out for some new options next time around.

Have you tried .30g's in it yet? You seem to have plenty of power. It would probably make a difference on long range shots. I have been meaning to pick up a bag to do some testing for a long time.

Finally got my TM Delta back from hkssr20det after a bunch of custom work and tuning. All I can say this that I am really happy with this Delta. It's not quite finished but I figured that this was a big enough advance to warrant a bit of a write-up. The highlight of this gun is the RS Wilson Combat beavertail grip safety which looks even cooler in person.

I am interested to see what people think about the controls though. I am playing around with several options but my main choices are the Kimber Trigger (installed now) vs a TK 3-Hole trigger and 9Ball controls vs a black stock slide catch and a modded TM 4.3 thumb safety.

Without further ado, the pictures...

This is the next step in my TM Delta Project. In these pictures I am using a Hi-Capa Outer Barrel and Full Length Guide Rod as well as new grips custom painted by RSP. I am still working on the final control configuration but my final choice will depend on whether or not I go with the Bull Barrel and Guide Rod. I'm still in the process of making up my mind about these new additions but any feedback would be helpful.
